We're exploring a new future for Pink Thinking, one where promotional merchandise does more than promote your business. It helps change lives.
What if the promotional products your business buys could do more than raise brand awareness?
What if every purchase could help fund real hours of therapy, provide access to mental health support and make a tangible difference to someone's life?
That's the idea we're exploring at Pink Thinking.
We're considering an exciting new direction for the business, with the ambition of developing Pink Thinking into a genuine social enterprise – one that combines creative, desirable promotional merchandise with a meaningful commitment to mental health.
And we'd love you to be part of that journey.
From giveaways to keepables
Let's be honest. Businesses will always need promotional merchandise, branded products, corporate gifts and giveaways.
But how much of that merchandise is genuinely valued? How much ends up forgotten in a drawer, left behind at an event or eventually thrown away?
We believe there is an opportunity to do things differently.
At Pink Thinking, we create products that people actually want to keep. Products that look good, feel good and have a purpose beyond simply displaying a company logo.
And we want every purchase to mean something more.
Sustainability and carbon reduction have rightly become important considerations for businesses. But what about social impact?
What if your next merchandise order could also contribute towards funding mental health support?
Turning purchases into real mental health support
Our ambition is to reinvest profits from Pink Thinking into funding actual hours of therapy and mental health support, initially across Yorkshire, with the potential to expand throughout the UK.
We'd also like to give customers and businesses the opportunity to choose which causes their purchases help support.
For example:
The idea is simple: businesses purchase products they already need, but their purchasing decisions also help create something genuinely positive.
This isn't just another marketing exercise
There's a personal reason why mental health is at the heart of this idea.
Pink Thinking's owner, David, is a UKCP-registered therapist. Mental health isn't simply a convenient marketing message for us. It's something that matters deeply.
We understand the importance of having access to appropriate support, and we know that finding and funding that support isn't always straightforward.
That's why we want this initiative to be about more than making promises.
Our ambition is to publish regular monthly impact updates showing:
We want people to be able to see exactly what their purchases are contributing towards.
No vague promises. No just-for-show corporate social responsibility. Just measurable social impact and real support for people who need it.
A different approach to corporate social responsibility
Businesses are increasingly looking at how they can demonstrate their commitment to social value, community engagement and corporate social responsibility.
But we believe there is an opportunity to make this much more practical.
Rather than simply making a charitable donation once a year or adding another statement to a sustainability report, businesses could build social impact into something they already do: purchasing promotional merchandise.
Imagine ordering branded products for your employees, customers, an exhibition or a corporate event, knowing that the profits from your purchase are helping fund therapy for someone who might otherwise struggle to access it.
It gives your merchandise another purpose.
It gives your purchasing decisions another dimension.
And it gives your business an opportunity to demonstrate that doing good is part of how you operate, not just something you talk about.
We'd love to hear from you
We're still exploring this direction, and we want to get it right.
We know that turning an idea like this into a sustainable, credible social enterprise will take planning, collaboration and the right partnerships.
That's why we're keen to connect with:
We'd particularly love to hear from people who have experience of social enterprise, funding models, charitable partnerships and measuring social impact.
Two questions for businesses
There are two things we'd really like to know:
1. Would your business be interested in purchasing promotional merchandise if you knew that your purchase was helping fund real hours of mental health support?
2. Would you value the opportunity to choose which mental health causes your purchases helped fund?
Your feedback could help shape the future of Pink Thinking.
We're not pretending to have all the answers just yet. But we believe there's an opportunity to create something genuinely different – a business model where commercial success and social impact work together.
Let's make business mean more than just business
We believe promotional merchandise can do more than promote a brand.
It can start conversations, create connections and, potentially, help people access the mental health support they need.
Our ambition is to build Pink Thinking into a business that people are proud to buy from, businesses are proud to work with and communities can genuinely benefit from.
This is the beginning of that journey, and we'd love you to be involved.
